600 posts?

I was mistaken...I have actually published only 585 posts so I have another 15 to post before the big 600.  (Well, I guess it will be 14 more AFTER this one!)  I will have to step up my game before the end of September or just keep it real and figure on the number rolling over some time in October.  Either way I will have lots of time to put together a big, fat giveaway!  Please check back once in a while...

Goodies from Moda

I mentioned before that I won a giveaway on the Moda site for new patterns designed by Carrie Nelson.  The patterns were created to use with the new Moda pre-cut - Candy - which are 2.5" squares.  My package arrived the other day.

"Chip" is the first one I will attempt.  (I love a good star.)  I have not seen any of the small Moda pre-cuts yet at my favorite shop so I am going to cut up an extra charm pack of Sentiments (3 Sisters).  I am making a Christmas quilt using that fabric so this would be a nice piece to compliment the quilt.

From this group, I am going to do "Tickle" but that depends totally on how the first little quilt goes!  I may very well start twitching because these are small pieces and I struggle with anything less than a 2-1/2" square.  I do like Carrie's patterns (Miss Rosie's Quilt Company) and her directions are always very clear.
