"Chip" is the first one I will attempt. (I love a good star.) I have not seen any of the small Moda pre-cuts yet at my favorite shop so I am going to cut up an extra charm pack of Sentiments (3 Sisters). I am making a Christmas quilt using that fabric so this would be a nice piece to compliment the quilt.
From this group, I am going to do "Tickle" but that depends totally on how the first little quilt goes! I may very well start twitching because these are small pieces and I struggle with anything less than a 2-1/2" square. I do like Carrie's patterns (Miss Rosie's Quilt Company) and her directions are always very clear.
Since I am being realistic about how many of these patterns I am going to actually attempt, how about a giveaway? The winner will receive 4 patterns. Just leave a comment for an entry. For a second entry, mention the giveaway on your blog linking back to this post and let me know that you did. You do not have to be a follower. The winner will be chosen by Random Generator on Wednesday morning at 6am Eastern time.
Enjoy your weekend!

ReplyDeleteHow very cool that you won these! I have Chip and Speck. Not sure which to attept first -- both look really cute. I'm thinking of Chip in reds and greens for a Christmas gift. I can't wait to see how you do with yours!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for a while now so I thought I'd show my face by following you. Congrats on your win from Moda - how exciting.
ReplyDeleteAs for your giveaway ... I'm from Scotland so, if you don't want to post over the pond, I won't be offended if you leave my name out of the hat. :o)
That's funny--I've been using a lot of 1-1/2" & 2" pieces lately and 2-1/2" feels gigantic to me now! Can't wait to see your finished quilts.....

ReplyDeleteThe patterns are so cute! Congrats on the win too. I think the Chip one looks the most challenging, but lots of fun. I've been cutting up my scraps into 2.5" squares.
