You know that I am a horrible photographer so calling this "eye candy" is probably a mistake. I do love this quilt and I love this fabric. You cannot tell from the photograph that it measures roughly 60" square.
Just about everything I used is Moda. I am hoping that you don't think "Christmas" as soon as you look at it. I did some close up shots so that you could see the beauty of the fabric and the wonderful colors. I absolutely ADORE all red tonals from 3 Sisters!
I don't think it says Christmas at all....I think it screams, "I'M GORGEOUS"!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it and well, you know how I feel about anything Moda.
I am a little jealous on your HSTs BTW...ummmm, perfect...
I will keep on practicing. One day...it will come.
This is so pretty! Thanks for sharing. I am working on a 64 patch block measuring 16" square.. have to make 20 of them...This one looks so much easier!!! Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous quilt. And the fabrics are yummy. But those are some perfect points. Lucky you.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Suzan, and I didn't think Christmas at all!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't scream Christmas to me... How big are those HST's?
ReplyDeleteI really like it! I think you did a beautiful job!

Hi Suzan,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thank you for leaving a comment on my blog about quilt backings. I think your quilt is wonderful. That fabric from Moda is my all time favorite...I love everything 3 Sisters. I've used and still have some fabrics that you are in that quilt.
Have a great night,
~Karen~
Just beautiful and not in the least Christmasy. I could never have enough of those gorgeous Moda fabrics either.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think of Christmas at all. ;) I love your big carpenter star quilt. I've seen a trunk show (forget who's) but she had lots of these... and many other star quilts all made using HSTs ;) It's on my list to make one day. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour's turned out great!
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
