Back ... sorta

Another quick post as I am thoroughly enjoying this very restful, snowy day.  I have not touched a sewing machine in DAYS but I saw a new pattern on the Moda Bakeshop blog today that looks like some fun sewing so I may gather up a couple of layer cakes and start it later today or maybe tomorrow.

I received a new point and shoot camera with many, many bells and whistles.  There will be a huge learning curve since this one has a lot of options I didn't have on my Canon.  I actually opened it on Christmas morning and started taking what I thought were photos.  (They were videos.)  Today I actually broke out the manual and thought I would give it a quick read through.  I read for a while but I am a visual learner so I started experimenting.

Both of the photos above were taken with the same light within 5 minutes of each other.  The difference?  I changed the scene setting.  I still have absolutely no idea what I am doing but it is fun just fooling around!
