Oh yes I did!

‘Member me saying that I was making a baby quilt last weekend?  Well, I finished it!  Lots of quilters have been showing quilts with sort of straight line quilting.  I did a moderately wavy line.  It was pretty time consuming since I have the lines fairly close together but it was easy feeding through the machine.  The big downside was the amount of thread I used.

I love this fabric.  If you look closely you can see the different bug motifs but at a quick glance, it just looks like pretty fabric.  I really like crisp, white Kona cotton with the “Flutterby”.  I think it looks too feminine for a boy so I can’t give this one to Drew.  Next girl baby gets this one!

The Society of Sexy Sewing Sisters is going to my sister’s beach house this weekend.  Those lucky ladies that don’t work outside the home are staying a few extra days.  The “working” sisters are headed back home on Sunday.  Saturday night is “appetizer supper” and several of us are bringing wine.  This is my contribution

(I am hoping no one asks to share…)

The weather is supposed to be pretty miserable but there is a fireplace, internet connection and premium cable service.  I am taking my sewing machine but I have no idea if I will even get it out of the car!

Have a great weekend!

  6. The diaper bag was a huge hit! Much admiration for your work. The party was weird though. I'll e-mail you.

I love that wine. We were given a bottle in San Francisco in a welcoming fruit basket a few years ago. It's very good. We've since been happy to find it in our local store.

  7. Suzan! It's love to hear from you. I hope all is well with you. Glad to hear that Andrew is doing well!

That quilt is BEAUTIFUL - those fabrics are so cheerful. And the straight line quilting really accentuates the blocks.
