Yes, I had the flu. I will be getting a flu shot next year. I had not been that sick in about 10 years. My chest still sounds icky but I am feeling so much better. The worst thing is that it is so draining. I actually have been feeling like an old lady!
I have lots of projects lined up for this weekend. I have purchased several yards of a variety of different scarf fabrics. I love making infinity scarves. They go together quickly, look beautiful and are big sellers. I managed to do the first set of piecing on my new Christmas quilt and I would like very much to go from HSTs to hour glass blocks this weekend. I think that if I don't bite off too much at one time I will not get bored and distracted. (Then again, perhaps not.) My son and daughter-in-law bought me a 10" compound miter saw for Christmas. I am really anxious to build a workbench in my basement so that I can start cutting wood for a wall of board and batten! I wonder how much I can actually cram into one weekend?
Big news in my corner of the world...
just bought the inventory of a quilt shop that closed. Every piece of fabric is $3.99 a yard! I had to stop in just to look. I really didn't need any fabric. You know how that goes...I bought about 11 yards. I was tempted by the batiks but didn't buy any today. I picked up some Moda, a little Henry Glass, some Free Spirit and a smidgen of Riley Blake fabrics. The special quilting fabric cannot be purchased on line but if you are anywhere near Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania - stop in!
It would have been a crime not to buy fabric at those prices! Sorry to hear you've been sick, but glad to hear you're on the mend. When real flu strikes it's the pits.
ReplyDeleteWhat did they buy? Where are they? Son & family live in Sinking Spring.
ReplyDeleteMy parents both came down with the flu a few weeks before Christmas; thankfully none of us got it. Glad you are feeling better!
