It has come to my attention

that I did a really lousy job of explaining how to order a fat quarter bundle from me.  So, some clarification!  Just let me know in the comment section or email me which one you like.  I will send you a Paypal invoice.  You pay the invoice and I ship the product.  Oh - rather than making it any more difficult, let's just call it $25 a bundle and that will include shipping.  I always use priority mail.  Unfortunately due to the price of postage I can only ship to locations in the US.

Hope I did a better job this time!

Flinging Those Fat Quarters

I have broken the fat quarters into 3 groups - blue/green, brown and dark/mixed. Each bundle of 20 fat quarters is $20 and you pay the postage.  They won't fit into the flat rate flat envelope (I know because I tried!) but they will fit in one of the Tyvek envelopes and that rate depends on distance and weight. I would "guesstimate" about $10 for postage in the US but I will do whatever I can to make the rate as low as possible. Payment will need to be through Paypal or I can accept a credit card directly that I will run through the Paypal system.

Here's the blue/green group:

The brown/beige group

The dark/mixed group:  SOLD!!

The dark group has a few extra fat quarters in the mix.  I had a group of 4 that came in a bundle I bought last year and they have a camping theme.  The background color is a very dark navy which doesn't show very well in the photographs.

Thanks for looking.  I hope you see something you like that needs to move from my studio to yours!

Fat Quarter Fling!

I need to pare down the ridiculous number of fat quarters and half yards of fabric I have that I am (apparently) never going to use.  Tomorrow I will list several bundles of fat quarters to sell.  They will be in lots of 20 and each bundle will be $20 plus shipping.  They will all be quilt shop quality and you all know that  I lean towards Moda so they will be predominantly Moda fabrics.  It will be sort of a "grab bag" kind of thing.  Once they are gone I will start selling 1/2 yard bundles.  I can accept Paypal or a regular credit card.

Please check back tomorrow and help me get rid of some of this!

Note to self

Never, ever put burlap in the washing machine again!

It looks like a wookie was in an incident with a lawn mower.  This is what happens when you try to get that smell out of burlap.  Next time I will just air it in the sunlight and hope for the best.

Off to vacuum the inside of the washer...

Good grief!

So...my taxes are nearly done.  What?  It's the day before the deadline?  Yep - no waiting until the last minute for me!! Every year it takes me just about 90 minutes to do my taxes and every year I put it off as long as I possibly can.  I don't know why.  I am getting a refund as I always do.  I know that I don't owe them anything and yet I procrastinate.  It really is the way I roll...worry about something for 3 or 4 months, finally do whatever it is and then say to myself - "That wasn't so bad.  Why didn't you do it earlier?"  (I have many long conversations with myself.  Just ask the poor souls walking past me in the grocery store.)

Yesterday when I should have been compiling my tax info I made a quilted tote bag instead.  And went to a wedding.  I had actually planned to make a skirt to wear to said wedding but could not find shoes I liked and promptly tossed the skirt fabric back into a bag.  Here's the bag

Cute, huh?  I love this new fabric line from Moda called "Simple Marks" by Malka Dubrawsky.  I bought a charm pack and added some pretty batik fabric.  The tote is bright and fun.

Sometimes you just need a quick sewing "fix"...and it was so much more fun than doing taxes!!

Covert Robin

I received my Covert Robin gift yesterday afternoon.  The gift was made for me by Lynn Provencher (Thimblemouse Designs) in Florida.  Wanna see?

Isn't it fabulous?!

I love the fabrics!  The tote contained a darling pincushion, little ditty bag for thimbles, threads, etc. and a needle case.  How perfect for a "grab and go" afternoon of sewing with friends!

And the label!

Oh - look at the gumdrop fabric wrapping!

The colors are wonderful and just looking at it makes me smile.  Thanks again, Lynn!  You can stalk me anytime...  :)
