I actually had two titles I could have used for this post. One is above and the other is "I can't take it anymore!" I have been the fortunate recipient of some beautiful pre-cuts in the past few weeks. I have so many scraps that I am overwhelmed. I have spent the last several evenings cutting up foamcore and organizing fabric into mini-bolts of 1 and 2 yard increments. Fabric over 2 yards is being put onto regular size bolt boards as I am able to acquire them. I have been organizing and sorting fat quarters and half yards and putting them into clear plastic shoe boxes.
I still am not finished and have to pick up more foamcore boards at the Dollar Tree today. I am running out of shelf room and will have to find another big, white bookcase unit. I have too much fabric. (I know, how can anyone have too much fabric?!) I know that I cannot possibly use what I have in a year or even 2 years. It is time for a big clean out.
So...how about a giveaway?! I will send out a box of scraps, some yardage, some fat quarters, whatever smooshed into a large priority mail box. I promise that the scraps are all usable sizes...no itty bitty 2" pieces! The scraps will be a mixture of colors. If it looks like there will be enough to go around, I will do a second drawing.
Let's make it really easy (mostly because I do not like rules). Leave me a comment for an entry. It would be nice if you were a follower but that is not a requirement. If you want a second entry, mention it on your blog and let me know that. Also, not a requirement...totally up to you. I will leave comments up until 6am Eastern time on Friday, June 15th. Unfortunately, due to the crazy prices to mail out of the country, this giveaway will be limited to US and Canadian mailboxes only.
Thanks for helping me clear up some of my mess!
Comments are now closed. Thanks for participating!
Ahhh, such neatness...and so much fabric. Being able to just glance at your cabinets and know how many yards you have of a particular pattern or color is certainly a time saver. Even though I have lots of fabric I would like to win your give away...see some different patterns and colors that I don't have in my fabric closet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful stash and a generous giveaway! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have some great fabric there. Would love some of this goodness!
ReplyDeleteBTW I am a follower.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm almost inspired to clean up:) Have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I love all the colors against the white shelves. It certainly beats my 'throw it in a cardboard box' routine :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...I would think I died and went to heaven if i had that much fabric, lol. I would just LOVE to add to my small stash with your give-away.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I live in Montgomery County, any good fabric stores your recommend?

Beautiful organization AND fabrics! I thought I was doing good just to get all of mine in bins! Thanks for the opportunity! You are most generous!
ReplyDeleteWow that is so organized! (Of course organizing is an ongoing process!) The foam board is an excellent idea, I am going to have to start doing that, I do have a few larger pieces that just don't fit in with my 1/4 and 1/8 yard fabric well.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower and would love to have your scraps! Thanks for being so generous.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Pam
OH my! I love how your fabric is organized! I have a lot less fabric... can you fix mine? Are you for hire? Love it! And, I am a follower :)

Thank you for sharing.
I am scrap crazy and would cherish your scraps. I'd actually use them... YUM
ReplyDeleteThat looks so nice. My goal for the next few weeks is to start a major cleanup in my sewing room. Love how you did yours! That looks like an option for me. Never thought of doing my fat quarters that way because until recently I never bought many. Now, I have been collecting way too many. Oh, I am a follower now too.
ReplyDeleteI stand in awe of your organizational skills! Do you make house-calls? LOL! Seriously...your studio looks wonderful, and I aspire to be just like you when I grow up! I've been a follower of your blog for quite some time, and thoroughly enjoy it. BUT, this takes the cake!! Thanks so much for the chance to win your scraps...I promise to give them a good home!
