Sick grandbabies...
My oldest son just called. His two children have come down with H1N1. They just got vaccinated yesterday and apparently were already infected. My granddaughter was spiking a fever of 105 and my grandson at 103. Since their momma is in her first trimester of pregnancy, she has left the house for a few days and is starting on a pro-active course of Tamaflu. The children are both taking it along with ibuprophen to bring down their fevers. Alex has asthma so he is in a high risk catagory. Grammy's heart hurts because she can't be there to help care for the children.

ReplyDeleteI had GD#1 here for 10 days with the swine flu. She stayed with us as we're hoping brother/sister don't come down with it. Brother who has asthma got the 1st shot this past Monday, 2nd shot at the end of Nov. Sister will get hers next week.
My prayers will go up. Is this the same family you were going to see this weekend?

ReplyDeleteLots of prayers for you and everyone affected by this virus. My husband was never properly diagnosed, but believed to have had it back in June. He was in the hospital and had the beginning stages of pneumonia. He has asthma as well... The strangest thing was that no one else in our family got it! The best thing to do is be proactive.. lots of Vitamin C, wash hands often, etc. Hopefully things will resolve soon!
