Sleepy
It is nearly 3:15am, I have been awake for an hour and a half and instead of working on my vast number of Christmas projects, I have been sitting in front of the computer playing a game. I just want to sleep and I cannot. We had snow yesterday evening that is supposed to be followed by freezing rain and sleet. Nice. Anyway, they have been scraping the streets for hours and I guess that is what woke me. Every time I tried to go back to sleep I would begin to think about Christmas gifts that I have not yet purchased, sewing projects that are half finished and quilts that need to AT LEAST be pieced by Christmas.
Half asleep, I am afraid to sew as I would probably run a needle over my finger. I don't want to cut because only goodness knows what kind of damage I might do with a rotary cutter.
And so, I sit in front of the computer like a zombie. Accomplishing nothing. And just now, I rubbed the side of my nose and a piece of clear, rubbery plastic flew off my glasses and they don't sit correctly on my face.
Sheesh...

Don't ya just hate times like these?
ReplyDeleteWe got 5 inches of snow yesterday, and tomorrow they are predicting 1/4" of ice. Oh, yippee! =-/
Hoping you find some rest soon.

My sympathy coming your way. I went through a couple of months of the no-sleep blues a while back. I read a lot of books during that time-the sewing machine makes too much noise in my small house.
ReplyDeleteThe tree looks really beautiful and the doll clothes are darling. Hope you get some good rest soon.
I know that feeling - too tired to really do anything but not sleepy enough to sleep. Ick. I really really hate that.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to be half asleep to run the needle over your finger! I did that Monday night! Maybe, I can blame having a cold...
ReplyDeleteI am suffering through the same situation here!! Usually I am up at about 3:30 every morning. Then can't go back to sleep and drag during the day!!! Oh those silly
ReplyDeletehormones :-)!
To bad we can't all be Martha Stewart, I read she only needs 4 hours of sleep a night. How is that possible? I wish you a good night of warm slumber. P.S I am a first time visitor. TTFN
ReplyDeleteI hope that you have a much better day today. I hate times like those but I will take the snow from you...it is 60 degrees here today and does not feel Christmasy at all!
