That’s it…no more tonight! I changed thread, used the Sewer’s Aid, took out the bobbin looking for lint, oiled everything I could see and the thread is still breaking. I am going to give up tonight and look at it tomorrow with (hopefully) fresh eyes.
I hate evenings or days like that...maybe change the needle? The needles that came with my new machine were immediately thrown out.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's the needle? I have had problems off and on, on some things and I keep thinking it's the needle. I think in my case it may be the thread but I give up too after a while...
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of thread spool are you using? Is there a chance the thread is getting caught on the spool? Is there a 'notch' on the edge of your spool that your thread could be catching on?
ReplyDeleteI wish I was near so I could come brainstorm with you.

I know the feeling. I can try everything and go back the next day and it will work just fine. Hopefully that works for you too.
ReplyDeleteI know that when they manufacture needles they say that 10% of them are bad and to change needles when you encounter problems...but I was wondering, can you get a "bad" spool of thread?
ReplyDeleteTry a different thread, hug yourself for us and eat a bite of a comforting tidbit and pray....
O:-)
Can't wait to see the photos of the bags! :)
